Mrs. Dunne is the late mother of Harry Dunne and the widow of Harry's biological father. She is portrayed by Mimi Rogers.
History
Mrs. Dunne gave birth to Harry in a local hospital in 1969. She was also concerned about the fact that Harry would not forget about his imaginary friend, Captain Rob. She homeschooled Harry until 1986, when he was about 17 years old. Before Harry leaves for schold for the very first time, she gives Harry a metaphorical treasure map (which he takes literally) The map leads to a special friend who awaits Harry. That friend would ultimately be Lloyd Christmas. A few nights later, Harry invites Lloyd for a sleepover where Lloyd suspects that Mrs. Dunne is hitting on him (because she kissed him goodnight) Lloyd boasts about marrying Mrs. Dunne and becoming Harry's stepfather, which Harry is not so pleased about.
Lloyd's Fantasy
Mrs. Dunne appears in Lloyd's fantasy sequence where Lloyd initiates a make-out contest between her and Jessica Matthews to decide who deserves him more. Eventually Mrs. Dunne was able to grab Jessica (she stick her tongue out) and kiss her meaning she won.
Death & Post Mortem
Sometime after the events of Dumb and Dumberer: When Harry Met Lloyd, she dies, leading to Harry's adoption by a Chinese couple. 28 years later, they remind him that they cannot give him a kidney transplant because he was adopted. This news greatly shock both Harry and Lloyd which obviously means they completely forgot about Harry's biological parents due to their extreme stupidity. Lloyd wows to search for Harry's real parents night and day but he is reminded of their death once again.
